Founded in 2026, FreshGate started with a simple observation: Michigan has incredible farms, but most people only get to buy from them a few months a year. When the outdoor markets close for winter, families go back to grocery stores and anonymous supply chains.
We thought that was wrong. Michigan has greenhouse operations growing greens year-round, orchards with cold-storage apples through spring, and artisan farms producing everything from dried cherries to organic root vegetables in every season.
So we built a marketplace where Michigan's best farms can sell directly to local families, year-round. No complicated tech for farmers, no subscriptions required for shoppers. Just great food from people you can trust, available whenever you need it.
